I have recently taken it upon myself to construct a reasonably (probably unreasonable to most...) small homelab to both run basic home infrastructure alongside providing a playground to aide with learning new technologies and provide a test-bed for troubleshooting issues.
Currently the homelab consists of:
- Dell R710 : X5675 (dual), 128GB RAM, 2x SSD ("production")
- Dell R710 : X5675 (dual), 96GB RAM, 2x 300GB SAS ("test")
- Cisco 3750G
- FreeNAS Mini : 4x 2TB WD Red (RAID 10 2x VDEV)
Shortly I will document the process of building the homelab using IKEA Lack Rack with instructions.
